Deterioration Model Increments are Zero

Sometimes when running a deterioration model, you may find that your increments are zero where you expect some values to be. Very often, the cause of this is the Minimum and Maximum limits associated with your model parameters. For example, if you have a parameter called "TextureIncrement", and you expect this increment to be a negative value, then the model will force the increments to be zero if your Miminum and Maximum limits for the parameter in the DMS file are set to be from say zero to 10.
The image below shows the situation. In this example, the parameter called "TextRate" is supposed to have negative values which will be used as texture rate increments over time. However, as you can see from the DMS file setup below, the Minimum and Maximum allowed is from zero to 400. Because of this, the model will force all increments back to zero. To fix this, simply modify the minimum and maximum limits for the parameter in the DMS file, save and upload, then run the model again.
For more information about the DMS file and how it works, please see this post.
