Join Parameters are used with the Data Join Tool.
For more information about the
Data Join Tool click here
.
Join Parameters can be found by going to
Modelling Menu
and selecting
Join Parameters
On this page you will be able to view and edit existing Join Parameters as well as add a new Join Parameter.
Adding a New Join Parameter
Join Parameters are used to specify which tables and columns hold the data you want to use when you use the Data Join Tool.
Join Parameters also specify what statistics to use if there are several rows within a specific join segment.
The Add New Join Parameter requires the following information:
Parameter Label - a label for the parameter
Parameter Code - a short code name for the parameter
Parameter Name - Option of using the parameter code as the suffix for the information column or to enter a preferred column name
Table to Use - select the table from your database which holds the relevant data
Column to Use - select the column with the relevant data from the table you have selected
User Date Range - select the date range
Group Data Using - choose how to group the data. Depending on the data type there will be different grouping options
Where rows meet the following criteria - set up filter criteria. This is optional
Multiply result by - determine a multiplication factor. This is optional
'
No Data
' Output - choose what to show if there is no data for that segment. For more information about how JunoViewer handles missing data using the No Data rules, please look at
this post
.
For example, a Join Parameter may tell JunoViewer Web to use the 80th percentile value of all Rut Depth values on each segment.
Below are some examples of source tables we might want to use in a view.
From above we can see that for our segment we have:
two types of Surfacing used - asphalt from 0 to 5000m, seal from 5000m to 7000m and asphalt again from 7000m to 10000m
FWD readings every 200m and
Rutting readings every 10m
These records are currently all in separate tables in the database. By creating and defining Data Join parameters JunoViewer Web's Joined Data Tool can combine these pieces of data into a single report as depicted in the image below.
