The Trend Graph View enables you to view the change in data distribution over time for a specific Section, Segment within a Section, Segment Group, or entire Network.

The Trend Report can be found under the Analyse menu.

The image below highlights the main functionality in the page:

Notes:
  • If you required a set of statistics or a date range not currently available to select in the dropdown lists, please contact Lonrix Support to discuss.
  • *The overlay of maintenance data on the trend graph is discussed in detail below.

Maintenance Data Overlay

The maintenance data layers overlaid on your trend graph is not limited to routine maintenance, but can include any similar data (not necessarily maintenance, for example, surfacing or pavement records) provided the data contains a date column.

The layers are set in an XML setup which can be edited in the Edit XML page, (Edit XML can be found under the Manage menu), however the setup will initially need to be added to your account by Lonrix Support.

For each maintenance type, the following information is required in the XML:
  • type: This will be used as the layer label in the graph legend. e.g. Maintenance, Surfacing, Pavement
  • table: The database table the layer refers to. e.g. maintenance, surfacingInfo, pavementMajor
  • dateColumn: The date column to be used when plotting the layer on the graph. e.g. measDate
  • showLabel: Whether or not to show labels on the graph for the layer. i.e. true or false
  • labelColumn: The column from which the layer label is read. e.g. activity, surfMaterial, paveType
  • colour: The hex code for the line colour of the layer. e.g. #FF0000, #008000
In addition, each maintenance type can include filters to include only certain records in the layer. For example, you may only be interested in Pavement and Surfacing routine maintenance for Watercutting, Stabilising, and Crack Sealing maintenance activities. In this case, the following will be required in the XML:

  • name: Name of the column to be filtered on. e.g. First Filter = costGroup, Second Filter = activity
  • values: Values from the above column to be included in the layer. e.g. First Filter = PA, SU; Second Filter = WATERBLAST,STAB,SEALCRK
