The JunoViewer Mobile App is a free app available to all JunoViewer Web users on iPhone and Android phones. The JunoViewer Mobile Application provides the ability to digitize inspection processes that are paper-based.
The out-of-the-box version of the JunoViewer Mobile App comes with the Photo Logger. This app gives you the ability to capture geo-tagged photos in the field, together with comments and tags, and later view them within JunoViewer Web.
Follow the simple instructions below to use the Photo Logger.
Step 1: Download the JunoViewer Mobile app from the Google Play or Apple App Stores and log in using your JunoViewer Web username and password. Refer to this post for instructions on downloading the app.
Step 2: Update the Account Information and download the app data.
Step 3: You can now start capturing the photo.
- Tap the + to create a new record
- Tap the camera icon to capture a photo, and choose between capturing a photo using the camera, or selecting a photo from the Gallery. PLEASE NOTE: The GPS that is assigned to the record will be based on the location of the device. Please make sure that you are at the location on the network related tot he photo you are uploading. If this is not the case, rather use the Photo Viewer to upload a new photo and comment.
Step 4: Tap the Next button to go to the next screen to capture comments.
- Tap the Comment field to either enter a new comment or select from a list of previously entered comments. Note, accepted characters are: A to Z, 0 to 9, /, \, and '.
- Next, click the Tag field and select one or multiple tags to attach to the photo. (Contact Lonrix Support to set up tags for your account.)
- Finally, click the Save button to and choose between Sync and Sync Later to upload the photo and comments to the server.
For a successful upload the GPS must be enabled on the device and available.
The device does not, however, need to be connected to the internet (yet). When the internet is available, say when the user returns to an area with cellphone reception, all photos taken during the time offline will be synchronized to the server automatically regardless of whether the app is open or closed).
Photos uploaded to JunoViewer Web can be viewed in the Forecast View and Map View, and are available for download via the Photo Viewer
