The FWP Quick Breakdown and Export tool allows you to export a short but powerful summary of your FWP. This summary will show the total lengths and areas of treatments over different treatment types and categories.
We call it a "Quick" FWP Breakdown to distinguish from the more comprehensive Forecast Summary Export. Unlike the latter, the FWP Quick Breakdown tool does not require a model setup to be linked to your FWP. Your FWP is basically analyzed "as is"; there is no forecast analysis or graphics included in the summary as in the case of the full Forecast Summary export.
Before you try to use the FWP Quick Breakdown tool, please read the information below to make sure you understand the concepts involved:
Key things to know and do before you use this tool:
- You need to have information columns in your FWP which holds the effective length and area for each treatment length. These columns should be two of your "info_XXX" columns. For example, "info_length" could hold the effective length on each treatment length.
- You need to import your FWP into JunoViewer Web before you can use this tool.
- You need to prepare and upload a simple template which tells JunoViewer what the unit costs and units of measure is for all treatments (click on the "Download Example Template" link on the page - see below - to see an example of the template format).
To use the Quick Breakdown Export tool, go to the FWP menu, then go to Reporting and click on FWP Quick Breakdown.
The following page will be shown:
When you click on Export Breakdown, an Excel file will be created with your breakdown data and the file will automatically start downloading. This export file contains the following data:
- A Breakdown sheet that contains the breakdown of your FWP treatments by treatment name and treatment category versus length, area, percentage length as well as cost.
- Three additional sheets showing a list of treatment lengths that are due to be treated in the first three years after the chosen Start Year.
Please note carefully how the breakdowns and cost is calculated:
- Length and area is calculated using the values in the selected "info_" columns in your FWP
- For treatments with "Length" unit rates, cost is calculated as the value in the chosen "info_" column representing effective length, multiplied by the unit rate.
- For treatments with "Square Metre" unit rates, cost is calculated as the value in the chosen "info_" column representing effective area, multiplied by the unit rate
- For percentage length breakdowns, the percentage is calculated as a fraction of the total length of all treatment lengths in the FWP, using the values in the chosen "info_" column representing effective length
This tool is simple and effective to use, but you may run into problems or error notifications if you have the following problems in your setup:
- If the "info_XXX" columns you select to represent effective length and area hold some blank or non-numeric data, the process will stop and you will be notified of the error. You need to correct this in your FWP and re-import the FWP before trying again.
- If your FWP contains some treatment codes that are not in the Treatment Information template, then you will be asked to correct this in your information template
Please ensure the Start and End Year input boxes contain only numeric data, and that the Start year is less than the End year
