The Split/Extend Tool in the JunoViewer Web Forecast View enables the user to split and update the start and end locations of treatment lengths (also known as work areas, work segments, etc.), an ability which is key to successfully managing a Forward Works Programme (FWP). Follow the instructions below to use the tool:

Firstly, select a treatment length and click the Split Tool icon.

To split the treatment length, choose a location within the length from which to split, and click the Split button.

To extend the treatment length, choose the new from and to locations for your treatment length, and click the Change Limits button. In this instance, the user might extend the previous and following treatment lenghts to cover the now vacant lengths.

A few things to note:

If the updated limits provided by the user cause an overlap between two or more treatment lengths, the changes will not be allowed until the issue is corrected.

JunoViewer does not check to ensure adjacent treatment lenghts meet, allowing a space between the end of one treatment length and the start of the next (as in some cases this may be by design).

The Split/Extend tool is also available in the FWP Validation Module of the Field Inspection Tool (FIT); refer to this post for more information.
edited by philip on 5/17/2016
edited by philip on 6/8/2016
